As the Combat Engineer Company laid miles of wire obstacles we played in the dirt and sand. We were up on a bluff that the War would go around. One set of two positions were on a point and one of my operators looked at the plan a decided to use his own idea, designing the two positions into a single tank position by making into a Y. When the General and his band of Aids came to see what we had done they walked down into the position came to the split, went right looked then walked back to the split and went left...<br /> I was asked by a Col. what the hell it was, I said " Y" and the general started laughing, walked over and shook my hand and laughed, saying " Leave it to Heavy Junk to make things easier"... The Heavy Junk section was asked back three times. I was deployed to Germany 6 months after the first time.Mario Brother's Truckingnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5991024443488082637.post-85588738253702787872015-02-27T19:48:40.713-06:002015-02-27T19:48:40.713-06:00Thanks for the reminder!
